The White Family
Ethan and I met while dancing for professional ballet companies in San Francisco and later pursued our performing and choreographic careers in LA before performing for the first time in Malibu. After our first performance in Malibu (2012 Nutcracker) as guests we felt it was the right place for us to start a family. We now have two children, Dax (5 years old in kindergarten at Webster) and Skye (2 years old at Malibu Methodist Nursery School). We have started a non-profit called 4theVillage.org, which provides an umbrella for our community development work which includes school fundraising, grant writing, creative consulting and producing dance camps in which parents and children work together to put on story based shows like Peter Pan, and the Nutcracker.
We completely lost our home and the attached vacation rentals which represented a significant part of our income and allowed us to spend so much time volunteering and working in the arts and community development. We are currently staying with Ethan's family in Santa Fe, NM and trying to figure out the next steps. Our immediate needs are met as far as clothing, toiletries, kids items, etc. We are going to be displaced for some time so we are hesitant to accept too many items before we are rebuilding and have a place to put everything. Our most immediate needs are income, advice and guidance in the rebuilding process and we also might need jobs. Ethan is getting his masters in consumer psychology from USC and will be looking at market research or data analysis positions.
